I will start with the introduction of the quasi-static and the fully dynamic models for linear poroelasticity. Their extensions to poro-hyperelastic model will also be covered. Several numerical algorithms for the linear poroelastic model will be discussed. Among them, unconditionally stable decoupled algorithms will be highlighted. Biomedical applications of poroelastic models for brain edema simulation and lung ventilation simulation will be briefed.
